William and Shannon Pleasant
William and Shannon Pleasant have been active members of the Hickory community they love for over 20 years. William is a business lawyer, ethics and compliance officer, and sustainability professional, having spent over 25 years in corporate, consulting, and law firm settings. William currently works with Bridge House Advisors as a consultant and leader of the firm’s corporate services group and is an adjunct professor at Wake Forest University. Outside of work, William has served in various volunteer leadership roles with First Presbyterian Church of Hickory, Habitat for Humanity of Catawba Valley, the Hickory Public Schools Education Foundation, and the Catawba Valley Youth Soccer Association (CVYSA). Shannon, a native of Hickory, is a physical therapist with past experience in hospital and outpatient settings. She has served in a number of volunteer leadership roles at First Presbyterian Church and multiple other community organizations, including the CVYSA, Hickory Music Factory, PTAs (Oakwood Elementary, Grandview Middle School, and Hickory High School), the Service League of Hickory, and the Wake Forest University Alumni Club of Hickory. William and Shannon are both graduates of Wake Forest University.
William and Shannon have two adult sons, Ben and Alex, both of whom were active in the local soccer community with the CVYSA and Hickory High School.
