Brock and Mandi Long reside in Hickory, NC and are both active within the community.   Brock is a former FEMA Administrator and serves as the Executive Chairman of a nationally recognized homeland security and emergency management consulting firm.   He has over 25 years of both public and private sector leadership experience and is an alumnus of Appalachian State University.   Mandi is a Georgia native and a graduate of the J. Mack Robinson School of Business at Georgia State University.  She is a former Executive Director of the Heart of Georgia United Way and Area Director of the United Way of Metropolitan Atlanta.   They have two sons, Jonah and Isaac, and are members of Corinth Church.
